Useful guidance for using PPPTools efficiently in your daily work.

General Tips

Multiple shapes as a snippet : Select multiple shapes on the slide (Shift+click or rectangle selection) and save them as a single snippet. PPPTools treats the selection as a group.

Find quickly with tags : Assign tags like icon, chart, intro, legal when saving — the free text search also searches tags.

Use category and name consistently : Agree on a category convention with your team (e.g. Marketing / Charts / Icons). The By Category view makes the gallery much more organized.

Recreate the preview image : If the preview image is outdated, open the content, update the slide, and save again — PPPTools automatically creates a new preview image.

Publishing

Fill in required fields in advance : Fill in name, category, classification, description, language, and author directly when saving — the content is then immediately ready to publish.

Rejection = no data loss : Rejected content remains in your private library. You can revise it and resubmit.

Admin Mode

Save directly to Public : In admin mode, newly saved content is automatically classified as Public — the approval step is skipped.

Orange banner = admin active : The orange admin banner is clearly visible — this helps you avoid accidentally modifying the public library.

Settings

Check value lists regularly : Categories or tags that are no longer used (usage counter = 0) can be safely deleted.

Test the public path : After setting up the public path, manually synchronize once (Settings → Sync → Sync Now) to make sure the path is reachable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Content does not appear in the gallery : Check whether the private path is set correctly (Settings → Storage Locations). Newly saved content appears immediately — no restart required.

Public content is missing : Synchronize manually (Settings → Sync). If no public path is configured, no public content is visible.

Publish button is inactive : The content must be saved first. Unsaved changes block publishing.
