Content Search
The Content Search allows you to search all three content manager types simultaneously — Snippets, Slides, and Storylines — with advanced filters.
The search is accessible via the 🔍 Suche tab in the Task Pane or via the Suche button in the Ribbon (Content Manager group). The Task Pane automatically opens in wide mode.
Layout
The search panel is split into two areas:
- Left — Search field, options, filters, and results list
- Right — Preview and metadata for the selected entry, plus action buttons
Search Options
Search Field
Free-text input. The search starts automatically after a short pause (300 ms debounce) or when any filter option changes.
Search Scope (Checkboxes)
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Metadata (default: active) | Searches in name, category, language, audience, status, classification, author, tags, version, and description |
| Slide content | Additionally searches the text content of slides — Snippets and Slides only |
| Slide notes | Additionally searches slide notes — Snippets and Slides only |
Storylines
The Slide content and Slide notes options do not apply to Storylines. Storyline entries will simply not appear when those options are selected — they do not expose slide-level text at the search layer.
Filters
| Filter | Values |

| Scope | All · Recently used · Favorites |
| Category | All available categories |

Results List
The list shows all matching entries with fixed columns:

| Category | Assigned category |

Sorting
| Scope | Sort order |

Multiple Selection
In the results list you can select several entries at once — in all views — and insert them together:
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Click | Selects a single entry |
| Ctrl + Click | Adds an entry to the selection or removes it again |
| Shift + Click | Selects all entries between two clicks (table, list, tree) |
When two or more entries are selected, the bottom button shows "N einfügen" (insert N) and inserts all selected items into the active presentation at once.
Detail Panel (right)
Clicking an entry in the results list shows:
Preview
- Snippet / Slide — A single preview image
- Storyline — Tile view of all contained slides (same as Storyline Gallery, without move buttons)
Metadata
All available metadata for the selected entry is displayed read-only (type, category, language, audience, status, classification, author, version, description, etc.).
The Source / Publish section is not shown in the search view.
Action Buttons
| Button | Action |
|---|---|
| Einfügen | Inserts the content directly into the active presentation |
| Editor | Opens the corresponding manager (Snippets / Slides / Storylines) in the Manage tab and jumps to the selected entry |
Tips
- The search covers all three content types simultaneously — ideal when you are unsure whether something was saved as a Snippet or a Slide.
- Scope = Recently used with an empty search field gives you a chronological history of all recently used content across types.
- Scope = Favorites with an empty search field gives you a cross-type favorites list.
- The Editor button is the fastest way to edit the metadata of a found item.
