Content Manager — Overview
The PPPTools Content Manager enables saving, managing, and reusing PowerPoint content in three categories.
Content Types

Tab Bar
The Content Manager has five tabs:

The ≡ button is highlighted orange when one of these views is active. A checkmark in the menu indicates the currently active view.
Advanced Content Editor
The Advanced Content Editor has no entry in the ≡ menu. Open it via Ribbon → Tools → Advanced Content Editor (or via Edit code in the snippet/action management view). While it is open the ≡ button is orange as well — but no menu item is checked.
Two Views per Type
Each content type has two areas:
- Gallery — Visual browsing with search, filter, and direct insertion into the active presentation
- Manage — Edit metadata, organize content, publish
Search scope — where the search looks
A row of tick boxes sits above every search field in the Content Manager. They decide what the term you type is matched against — in the gallery and in the manage view alike.

Metadata means the same thing everywhere and is the only box ticked when you open a tab: name, category, tags, description, language, audience, status, classification, author and version.
The boxes take effect immediately — the result list rebuilds as you toggle them — and stay as set for as long as the tab is open.
Storylines
A storyline carries no slide text of its own. The two text boxes therefore reach through to the slides it points at: a story is found by a sentence that appears only in the notes of one of its slides. The same holds for the global Content search.
Online mode
In online mode the text boxes do not apply — the online library catalogue carries neither notes nor object text. The search then covers metadata only.
Insert by double-click
A double-click on an entry inserts it immediately — no detour via the Insert button. For Actions, the Action is run instead.
This works in all five views — Tiles, Table (☰), List + image (▦), By category and Tree — and in both the Gallery and the Manage area, for Snippets, Slides, Storylines, Actions and Texts.
Previous behaviour
Up to version 2.0.2.0 the double-click only responded in the two tile views (Tiles and By category). If you had last selected Table, List + image or Tree, a double-click did nothing at all — the view is remembered per area and restored the next time you open it.
Private vs. Public
PPPTools distinguishes two sources:
- Private — Your own content, only visible locally
- Public — Approved content from the shared library, available to all users (after admin approval)
Public content is synchronized automatically when the Task Pane is opened.
