Status Overview
Every piece of content in PPPTools follows a clearly defined lifecycle from private draft to public approval.
Publish Status
| Status | Symbol | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| (none) | — | Content is private, not yet submitted |
| Waiting for Admin Approval | 🕐 | Submitted, admin decision pending |
| Approved/Published | ✓ | In the public library, visible to all users |
| Rejected | ✗ | Declined — can be revised and resubmitted |
Editing Status (Status Field)
The Status metadata field is independent from the publish status and describes the editing state of the content itself. The possible values are defined in the Value Lists.
Typical values:
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Content in progress, not yet complete |
| Review | Being reviewed internally |
| Final | Completed, ready for use |
| Archived | No longer actively used |
Visibility
| Source | Visible to |
|---|---|
| Private | Only the owner |
| Public (Approved/Published) | All users after the next synchronization |
Note
Public content is automatically synchronized when the Task Pane is opened (at most every 5 minutes). Newly approved content is therefore only visible to other users after the next synchronization.
