Public Library
The public library is a central, shared collection of snippets, slides and storylines managed by an administrator. You can use public content and submit your own content for inclusion.
How does it work?
Every user has a private area (visible only to them) and access to the public area (available to all users). The public area contains content that has been reviewed and approved by an administrator.
Your private area → ↑ Publish → Admin review

All users ← Sync ← Public library
Using public content
Public content appears automatically in the gallery once you have synced. You can identify it by the 🌐 badge on the tile.
Automatic sync
PPPTools syncs automatically when the task pane is opened — at most every 5 minutes. New and updated public content is fetched during this process.
Manual sync
Settings → Sync → Sync now
Source filter
In the gallery and the Manage tab you can set the source filter:
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Private and public content |
| Private | Only your own content |
| Public | Only content from the public library |
Submitting your own content
You can submit snippets, slides and storylines from your private area for inclusion in the public library.
Required fields
Certain metadata fields must be filled in before submitting. → Required fields
Status after submitting
After clicking ↑ Publish, the status field in the Manage tab changes:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 🕐 Waiting for admin approval | Submitted — administrator is reviewing |
| ✓ Approved | In the public library |
| ✗ Rejected | Declined — you can revise and resubmit |
Only you can see the status of your own submissions. Other users see no indication that you have submitted something.
Notifications (banners)
When opening the task pane a banner appears if a decision has been made on your submissions:
| Banner | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 🟢 Green banner | At least one item was approved |
| 🟡 Yellow banner | At least one item was rejected |
After reading the banner it disappears — you can always find the current status in the Manage tab for the respective item.
Rejection reason
When an administrator rejects content they can optionally provide a reason. This appears in the Manage tab directly below the Publish button:
✗ Rejected — can be resubmitted
Reason: [admin's text]
Privacy
The rejection reason is stored exclusively in your own private copy. Other users cannot see it. When multiple users submit content, each user sees only their own status and rejection reason.
What to do when rejected?
- Read the rejection reason (if provided)
- Revise the content in the Manage tab (adjust metadata, add description, etc.)
- Click ↑ Publish again — the content will be resubmitted for review
