Copilot & Optimise
The Text Copilot and the Optimise function need a language model. Which one they use is chosen here.
Accessing
PPPTools ribbon → "About" group → Settings → Services → Copilot & Optimise
AI engine (LLM only)
The drop-down lists genuine language models only — pure translation services such as DeepL are deliberately not offered here, because Copilot and Optimise need to do more than word-for-word work.
The choices are the providers that have an API key on file: Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or Mistral. With no key at all the list stays empty and the page says so.

Once an engine is selected and its key is present, the page confirms it with ✓ API key stored.
Separate from Translate
This choice applies to Copilot and Optimise only. Which service translates slides is set on the Translate page.
