Save Storyline
A storyline is an ordered collection of slides — it represents a complete presentation structure that can be inserted as a whole.
Concept
A storyline references existing slides from your library. The slides are not copied — they must first be saved as individual slides.
Prerequisites
- At least one slide is present in the private library
- A PowerPoint presentation is open (for the section name)
Saving
- Click PPPTools → Save Storyline in the Ribbon
- Enter a Name and Section Name
- Add slides from the library to the storyline and arrange them in the desired order
- Add further metadata
- Click Save
Section Name
The section name is automatically inserted as a PowerPoint section into the presentation when the storyline is inserted. This keeps the structure organized.
Tip
Use descriptive section names such as Introduction, Market Analysis, or Conclusion — they appear directly in the PowerPoint outline.
Slide Order
The order of slides in the storyline determines the insertion order into the presentation. It can be adjusted at any time in the Manage tab.
